NASN is happy to announce that after an unfortunate and unavoidable absence from the channel, CBC's Hockey Night in Canada is back in Europe. Due to contractual and technical circumstances, we were unable to bring our viewers this top quality hockey programming for the first part of the season.
However, those hurdles have now been cleared, and Hockey Night in Canada will be back in its Saturday night slot on a permanent basis starting this weekend.
Tune in Saturday night for two great matchups. First up, the Canadiens host Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals. Then all you night owls can stay up for the Oilers as they take on the first place Canucks.
Ron MacLean and Don Cherry and the whole CBC crew are back with their expert insight and analysis from the center of the hockey universe.
We regret the temporary loss of CBC hockey from our schedule, but rest assured that it's now here to stay. We are committed to bringing our viewers the best in North American sports as we position ourselves for the transition to ESPN America in February '09 and the rollout of high definition programming in the coming years.
