1. What is ESPN AMERICA?

ESPN AMERICA launches on 1st on February 2009 and is the only TV channel exclusively dedicated to broadcasting North American sports. Not only does ESPN AMERICA show up to 15 live or as live events every week, we show top North American sports 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.



ESPN AMERICA broadcasts the biggest events from right across America and we bring them to you direct from source, exactly as they are broadcast by the US networks. ESPN AMERICA shows around 15 live or as live events every week - it's not like being back home, it's better!

2. Can I request a specific event on ESPN AMERICA?

If you would like to request a specific event, then please email us at programming@ESPNAmerica.com. We consider all programming requests although please understand that our schedule is carefully balanced to try and make sure we please as many of the people as possible most of the time and that not all rights to all games are always available. In addition, we run ESPN AMERICA Viewers' Choices almost every month where we give you the opportunity to choose which game or event we show by voting on-line. ESPN AMERICA does not currently have any interactive or pay per view elements. However, these are areas that we are constantly evaluating and which we may look to introduce in the future.

8. I am having technical problems with ESPN AMERICA?

ESPN AMERICA does its very best to provide North American sports fans with a first-rate television service. However, like any television channel, we do unfortunately occasionally experience technical problems beyond our control due to weather conditions, satellite problems, host broadcaster issues, etc. All we can do in these circumstances is offer our sincere apologies, and ask you to bear with us on those rare occasions.



However, if this does not appear to be the root of the technical problem you are experiencing, it may be due to the misalignment of your satellite dish. Your digital viewing is broadcast from several different satellites and, when your installation was carried out, the engineer should have ensured that your dish was capable of receiving all signals. You may not have experienced this problem before with any of your other channels since ESPN AMERICA is probably the first channel you have tried to watch that is broadcast from this particular satellite. If this is the problem, when you tune in to Channel 649 - TelSell, the problems you are having with ESPN AMERICA will most likely be duplicated as this channel is transmitted from the same satellite as ESPN AMERICA. We would therefore recommend that you contact your satellite equipment provider - they should be able to arrange for one their service personnel to visit you to carry out the necessary adjustments.

9. Can you give me an explanation for a late scheduling change?

We do apologise for the apparent late change to the schedule. ESPN AMERICA does its very best to provide North American sports fans with a first-rate television service. Unfortunately, due to the nature of live sport and the number of satellite feeds that we take in each night direct from North America, there are occasional late changes to the schedule. For instance, where a feed has proved inaccessible or the quality of the feed received is poor, we are occasionally forced to source alternate programming at the last minute. In addition to this, due to the live nature of the events that we show, on some occasions games may over run or be shorter than we had been anticipating. This can result in us joining some games in progress, or additional programmes being added to the schedule at the last minute. It is also our policy to show every live event in its entirety so it may mean that programmes following a live event may be delayed. However, when we show a repeat of the game originally scheduled later that day or the next day, you will always see that game in full since obviously at that point we are able to schedule in advance.



We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you and hope that this clarifies the situation for you. We can assure you that we do everything in our power to minimise any interruptions and keep to our published schedules.
