ABOUT SPORTSCENTER
ESPN’s SportsCenter has gained iconic status in American sports heritage and has been aired more times than any other programme in American television history, with more than 35,000 unique episodes. It has expanded globally to include custom editions around the world, in eight languages – reaching from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, and Bristol, Connecticut to Brazil.
ESPN’s original telecast was on September 7, 1979 and since that time it has grown into a worldwide multimedia brand with content on television, radio, online, cell phones and more. SportsCenter has been the foundation of the network’s schedule for 28-plus years, making it ESPN’s most significant programming commitment.
Despite its longevity and success, SportsCenter continues to evolve and remains committed to growth. Its main ingredients are unchanged: in-depth reporting, analysis, news and highlights. With multiple live presentations on numerous media platforms every day around the world, it has become a global destination for sports news and information.
As much as sports have evolved throughout the years, so has SportsCenter!
Viewers, tune in … This is SportsCenter.
